Hot dogs and Hilo Hatties

We made our first stop to Hilo Hatties today. For those who've never been here, that's THE large local chain store where you can outfit your crew with local duds and assorted trinkets. Tourist trap? Yes, but they've been around forever, and REALLY like the military (who else do you know who still gives 30% discounts when you show an I.D.?).

But enough of that. The fun part was finding out our middle son owns a hot dog stand next door. ;)

You gotta love Hilo Hattie's! You know...I don't remember Lonnie asking if they had a military discount when we were there on our honeymoon. Now, where's that receipt? Hmm. Maybe they'll still give it to us. :)

We loved Pearl Harbor. I've been there twice. Every picture of anyone I've ever seen there is the same. No one is smiling. It's just an eerie feeling standing there and watching the oil leaking out.

So, we'll be there next week. It looks like our room is ready. LOL Hey! How did you get unpacked so quickly, anyway?
