Unexpected visitor

Turns out the park across the street is useful for more than just letting boys burn off energy. We were just sitting here enjoying a Sunday afternoon when all of a sudden a helicopter sounded REALLY close. We looked out the window just in time to see it land across the street, met by other emergency vehicles.

After several sorties back and forth over Sunday and Monday, we found out they were staging there to look for a hiker reported missing in the hills up above where we live.

Not something you see every day.
